Dr. Eddins is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh, after a previous position in Africana Studies at UNC Charlotte, a post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University's Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice, and earning a Dual Major PhD in African American & African Studies and Sociology from Michigan State University. My areas of research and teaching interest are the African Diaspora, Historical Sociology, Social Movements and Revolutions, Race & Ethnicity, Women & Gender, 18th century Caribbean, and the Digital Humanities.
